11 – 21 February 2026
London’s leading arts festival for kids, Imagine, is returning to the Southbank Centre in time for February half term. Imagine will offer a full-on programme, featuring the biggest names in children’s entertainment alongside a host of daily free-to-access events.

Voyage to the Deep at Horniman Museum
13 February – 1 November 2026
Horniman Museum and Gardens is opening a new family-friendly exhibition just in time for February half-term. Board the legendary ‘Nautilis’ submarine inspired by Jules Verne’s 20,000 Leagues Under the Seas and embark on an extraordinary underwater adventure.

Interactive exhibits at the Voyage to the Deep exhibition give visitors the chance to uncover hidden mysteries, meet the creatures of the deep and dive into interactive challenges.

Ticket prices start from £9.80 per adult and £7 per child. Children aged under 3 are free. Recommended to book in advance to avoid disappointment.
Younger children can also enjoy the free Octonauts trail running alongside the exhibition, featuring mini-missions throughout the Horniman Museum with fun Octofacts to discover along the way.

STEM Week at the Royal Air Force Museum
14 – 22 February 2026
Join the Royal Air Force Museum London this February half term for STEM Week. The dynamic range of activities and workshops include madcap experiments, giant bubbles and high-energy laser tag.

The interactive bubbly maths show is on 11am to 2pm everyday between 14 – 17 February. Tickets cost £6.50 (child and adult tickets required).

Laser tag missions at the RAF Museum London will be on four times a day between 19 – 22 February. Book a 45 minute session for fun games and the chance to reach the top of the leader board (recommended age 7+, tickets cost £6.50).

14 – 22 February 2026
Stomp, splash and squelch this February half term with the muddy activities on at London Wetland Centre Barnes.
The Mudfest activity line-up includes creating your own pieces of wetland mud art, making seed bombs and building nests. The mud kitchen is open all day long for kids to cook up a storm with the special equipment.

Escape to a world of mystery this half term at Hampton Court Palace and join a royal quest to win over Queen Elizabeth I with the best gift! Four courtiers are already in the running to present their gift, with an intriguing mix of ideas.

Find out what each courtier will gift and gather information about Queen Elizabeth I and her world, then meet her yourself to see if you can beat the courtiers with a fabulous gift idea of your own.
Live performances will be performing across the palace daily between 1030am to 3:30pm.

Beano Mischief at the Tower of London

Join in the fun this half term at Tower of London, as Dennis and his friends crash their time machine into the fortress trying to get to a school trip on time. It doesn’t go to plan and the pals find themselves flying through time and crash landing at the Tower.
Vital pieces of the go-kart have fallen off, but they don’t know where or when. Help Dennis and his friends locate these pieces around the Tower so they can repair the tangled timeline and get back home to Beanotown!

How do we look at pictures, and what can a painting really tell us?Join the Decoding Pictures family tours to explore the National Gallery with their Gallery Educator team, who will share skills to guide you in asking questions and discovering answers.
Family sessions over February half term will also include the free drop-in Creative Space, where you are invited to experiment, create and play using materials to discover how artists and scientists capture the beauty of illumination.

Family Tours at London Transport Museum Depot Acton
18 and 20 February 2026
Join the London Transport Museum at their Depot in Acton, West London, for a tour exclusively for family groups. You will be taken around part of the Museum Depot by one of their knowledgeable and engaging Learning Facilitators, discovering stories about the very special vehicles in the LTM collection.

Topics covered in the Depot Family Tour might include historic buses, trams and trolley buses and London Underground stock. Family tours last one hour and are aimed at groups with children aged 5 to 11 years old.
