Pumpkin Picking near London

One of the top things to do in London with kids during October is picking pumpkins at the pumpkin patch for carving, decorating and baking. There are several pumpkin patches near London in Surrey, Sussex, Kent and Hertfordshire which I have listed and will keep updating for Halloween 2025 in the Pumpkin Patches Near London post.

In previous years, we have been to Tulleys Pumpkin Farm, Hobbledown Heath Pumpkin Patch, Crockford Bridge Farm, Garsons Farm Pumpkin Parade and Cammas Hall Farm for pumpkin picking and family fall activities.

Warner Bros. Studio Tour: The Making of Harry Potter – Dark Arts

12 September to 9 November 2025

The Making of Harry Potter studio tour is an amazing experience going behind the scenes of the work that went into filming the Harry Potter movies. In celebration for Halloween, there will be 100 floating pumpkins in the magnificent Great Hall and tables laden with sweets, cakes and pies, as seen in Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone.

The WB Studio Tours London are also featuring the Dark Arts this autumn. Keep an eye out for the Dark Mark projected in various parts of the tour and learn the moves behind a wand combat scene, just like the Battle of Hogwarts, in a live duel with Death Eaters.

Kew Gardens – Halloween at Kew

17 October – 2 November 2025

Join family and friends to wander from dusk into darkness between one ghostly space to another in an after-dark Halloween trail at Kew Gardens.

Watch out for tricks in the forgotton fairground and beware of the monsters lurking in Frankenstein’s laboratory. Wind your way through the illuminated haunted woods filled with creepy neon cobwebs, ghastly ghouls, wicked witches, larger-than life spiders and beastly bats.

Kenwood House – Halloween Trail

17 October – 2 November 2025

A brand-new illuminated Halloween trail is at Kenwood House this October half-term! Features of the Halloween trail include a Headless Horseman who rides across a path, a glowing spider tunnel swarming with 50 neon spiders and a chilling fire show performed by three spellbinding artists.

Recharge between frights with a range of spooky snacks for all ages along the trail, from hot dogs and burgers to hot chocolate and warming hot toddies.

London Pumpkin Patch & Trick or Treat Lane

25 – 31 October 2025

Celebrate the week of Halloween on Parsons Green in Fulham as it transforms into central London’s largest pumpkin patch and trick-or-treating adventures.

This half-term Halloween celebration will feature thousands of pumpkins to choose from, Halloween installations for family photos, a Haunted House and Trick-or-Treat Lane, an immersive trick-or-treating experience created especially for children.

Entry tickets cost £6 for adults and children (ages 3 – 10) and children under 2 enter free.

Trick or Treat Lane costs an additional £10 and is a timed experience with limited spaces to keep it safe. Please allow at least 30 minutes to enjoy the Trick or Treating interactive experience.

London Museum of Water & Steam – Meet the Monsters!

Hyde Park Learning Centre – Hair-Raising Halloween

28 – 30 October 2025

Celebrate Halloween with the little ones at a free drop-in Halloween-themed Discovery Day at the Hyde Park Learning Centre. Take part in a host of free creepy crawly activities including guessing the gruesome contents of “feely boxes”, exploring an eerie nature trail and learning about the bats in the Royal Parks.

Drop in to this free event between 11am and 3:30pm. Dressing up is encouraged and everyone is welcome – their grounds are fully accessible. The Hyde Park Learning Centre do ask for no more than 3 children per adult. Only assistance dogs are allowed.

Chiswick House – Spooktacular Half-Term Halloween Party

31 October – 1 November 2025

Bizzy Buddies are bringing the party to Chiswick House & Gardens this October half-term. They will be running four sessions across two days, two hours each.

Take part in ghoulish shenanigans at this family Halloween event with activities that include face painting, arts and crafts and a Halloween-themed disco.

Tickets cost £18 for children up to 16 years old and £6 for adults. Pre-walking infants are free but tickets are still required.

Cammas Hall Farm – Halloween Activities for Kids

4 – 31 October 2025

Located on the Essex / Hertfordshire border, Cammas Hall Farm is a PYO Farm, Farmshop, Tea Barn and Maize Maze. Cammas Hall Farm always put together a fantastic pumpkin patch, and this year, their Halloween Pumpkin Patch will feature a giant erupting Pumpcano and a mammoth pumpkin mosaic!

Halloween activities at Cammas Hall Farm also include a wicked walkway and terror tunnel for all age groups, a dinosaur-themed Maize Maze and Footgolf (weather permitting).

On set dates throughout October, Cammas Hall Farm are ramping up on the scare factor with their Resurrected nights. Featuring terrifying actors, terror tunnels, live music and the famous Pumpcano lit up and erupting in the pumpkin patch, Resurrected will be running on Friday and Saturday nights from 10 to 31 October.

Pumpkin patch day tickets cost from £6.95 to £9.95 per person, depending on the day you visit. Children under 2 years old are free and do not need a ticket.

Resurrected night tickets cost £14.95 for adults and £9.95 for children. Recommended for ages 12+

The Maize Maze is open day and night on selected dates and costs £6 per person. Enjoy a 20% off discount (£4.80 per person) if booked in conjunction with the Pumpkin Patch or Resurrected event.

Priory Farm – Halloween Trail at Discovery Land

4 – 12 and 14 October – 2 November 2025

Priory Farm will also have a Halloween Trail with spooky surprises along a nature trail in their Discovery Land. Venture along a spooky, Halloween themed walk through ancient woodland and meadows and around their fishing lakes.

Priory Farm grow over 10,000 pumpkins every year and there will be range of shapes and sizes for picking in their fields. Take a tractor ride to their fields to pick your own pumpkin on selected dates in October.

Halloween Trail tickets are £12.50 (online) or £13 (on the door) per person at peak times and £9.50 (online) or £10 (on the door) per person at off-peak times. Free for under 2s.

Willows Activity Farm – Pumpkin Festival

Witches and Wizards Week

25 October – 2 November 2025

Activities during the half-term Witches and Wizards Week at Bocketts Farm Park include a Reptile Roadshow, Science and Slime Shows, a spooky scavenger hunt, Meet and Green with owls and birds of prey and a Creepy Craft Corner.

There will be hundreds of pumpkins to choose from that were grown at Bocketts Farm and an opportunity to take family photos in their Pumpkin Village.

Blenheim Palace – Spooky Illuminated Trail

23 October – 2 November 2025

The Spooky Illuminated Trail returns to Blenheim Palace this October half term. The trail will take you through an illuminated haunted woods with towering skeletons, giant spiderwebs and a cursed tomb.

Watch for a medieval dungeon steeped in dark secrets and a pagan ritual site along the way. Halloween Trail tickets cost from £20 per adult and £15 per child (ages 3 – 16).

You can also book separately their popular Halloween Afternoon Tea at Blenheim Palace. Chocolate tombstone and spiced mandarin pumpkins are among the delicious offerings.

Knebworth House – Halloween Adventure

28 – 30 October 2025

Venture into Knebworth Gardens for a Halloween event that will have visitors taking part in a number of fun activities throughout the Gardens, including a Terror Tunnel, Hook a Pumpkin and What’s in the Box. Earn stamps on your Pumpkin Passport to receive a prize.

Tickets cost £10 per child and £4.50 per adult. Children under 2 enter free, however, if you would like them to receive a prize at the end of the event the will need to have a child ticket.

Chessington World of Adventures – Howl’o’ween

Celebrate the spookiest time of the year with Halloween Fun for families at Chessington World of Adventures. There will be spellbinding entertainment for all ages, theme park rides at dusk and Halloween fancy dress competitions.

One of our favourite things to do at Halloween in London with kids is to see some of the brilliant Halloween porch decorations. You can find some of the best Halloween decorations in London around Holland Park, Notting Hill, Chelsea and Knightsbridge.

There are several houses that really go all out and it’s always a pleasure to see what they come up with each year!

Many of the party shops around London sell a variety of Halloween decorations and accessories. Non-Stop Party Shop in Kensington has a great selection of Halloween decorations, including animated and light up props, giant jumping spiders and hanging decorations. Trick or Treating in London

Trick or treating is one of our favourite Halloween activities and our experiences have varied over the years living in London. Trick or treat is always on 31 October, even if it falls on a weekday.

Trick or Treat London 2021

Trick-or-treating in London typically starts after sunset, around 5pm/6pm depending on neighbourhood and the houses taking part are decorated with at least a pumpkin. St John’s Wood, Kensington, Chelsea and Chiswick are London neighbourhoods popular for trick-of-treating.
