We’ve had a couple days of beautiful spring weather in London and are making the most of it while it lasts! Today, while Little T was on a field trip to the Science Museum with his preschool, I headed over to enjoy the sunshine with a walk at St James’s Park and Buckingham Palace.

The area was full of colorful flowers (and tourists) with the tulips looking especially stunning at St James’s Park and in the Memorial Gardens in front of the palace. Here’s a quick look at a springtime walk in this beautiful part of Westminster;

The flower beds are looking lovely and vibrant!

I love this view of the Horse Guards Parade and the London Eye from the Blue Bridge.

If you’re visiting with children, there’s a great playground located across the Wellington Barracks. There’s a large sand pit with a smaller area for young ones, see-saws and a climbing area with a slide. Facilities at the playground include a refreshment stand and children’s toilets.

Buckingham Palace

It’s been years since I’ve watched the Changing of the Guard ceremony, and I’d love to come back and bring Little T to see it. I arrived today just as it was wrapping up. Can you spot the Blues and Royals regiment below?

Around 28,000 tulips are planted in the Memorial Gardens in front of Buckingham Palace each year. The bright colors looked splendid today in the sunshine!
